Lisa Sasson: We should be eating more plant-based
foods that includes fruits and vegetables and legumes, those deep colored
fruits and vegetables the deep greens, the orange colored vegetables, a variety of different
colors have different nutritional properties And when you eat more plant-based foods,
they make you feel fuller and more satisfied. There’s so many misconceptions about nutrition. We have fat-free, high-protein. We have don’t eat
anything that’s white. We have low carb low fat, there’s pretty much
not much to eat if you follow these. But the whole point is we shouldn’t be doing things
that are trendy. We should really do something that we sustain. Eat foods that
you enjoy that a culturally relevant, that are easy for you to purchase, um, and
make eating a pleasurable, joyful experience. It should be one of the
greatest joys of our life.
