Skin Care & Healthy Diet

exercise healthy eating they do kind of
seem to go hand in hand but what do you tell your patients about the importance
of that healthy diet and getting the right food in your body well skin is the
number the largest organ on the body so whatever you’re putting in your system
is going to affect your skin so patients will say they drink diet soda or they
have salads with the diet soda they have cake with a diet soda all
right so and they want to know why they’re breaking out so the foods that
you put in your system will affect your skin not only your face but
also your back the other thing is if you take away all oils of your system you
people want to go like strict strict that can affect your hair and make it
more brittle your skin can be more dry so you want to make sure that you’re
continuing adding omega-3 fatty acids and having olive oil eating nuts or
almonds walnuts things like of that respect to help increase the right type
of oil for your skin to stay hydrated and I’m going back to the hydration
drink lots of water if you don’t drink water everything shrinks and
trickles up okay good to know I mentioned the hydration and you just
mentioned a couple of foods with those healthy fats if you will the almonds
certain kinds of fish what other foods would you also tell people to to be
eating to promote that healthy skin I know earlier your talk to me about
protein is very important so what are some kind of great foods to keep in mind
if you want to keep the skin looking great so certain fruits and vegetables
that have more antioxidants in them broccoli Kiwi tomatoes things that
have vitamin C like lemons or oranges citrus things as long as they’re not
causing any irritation in the stomach okay yeah and then anything that’s
brought like a more think of the raw vegetables like carrots and celery and
cucumbers that will add the antioxidants to your system
