from millet during the winter season. Today we are going to make halwa from millet flour. Halwa from millet flour can be eaten during winter’s
as it keeps the body warm and provides us with energy. Millet flour acts as a medicine when eaten during the winter’s. Millet flour halwa is also given to new mom’s. It is very beneficial. So come, let’s prepare halwa from millet flour. Millet flour (Bajra atta) – ½ cup or 80 grams Sugar (Cheeni) – ½ cup or 100 grams Ghee – ⅓ cup or 80 grams Cashew nuts (Kaju) – 10 to 12 Raisins (Kishmish) – 20 to 25 Coconut (Nariyal) – 1 tbsp (Sliced) Green cardamom (Chhoti elaichi) – 4 to 5 To make millet halwa, the first thing
that needs to be prepared is the flour. Heat a pan and add oil to it. Let it melt. Add the millet flour. Keep stirring continuously and cook for sometime. Cook it on medium flame. The flour is roasted and we will get a little fragrance from it. The oil is separated from the flour. Millet flour is now roasted. Turn the stove on low flame. Pour 1 ¼ cup water. Now turn the stove on medium flame. Add ½ cup sugar. The quantity of sugar can be increased
or reduced as per your choice. Mix it well. Cook it on medium flame. By the time our halwa has a thick consistency, let
us cut cashews and make a powder of cardamom. Keep stirring in between. Once the halwa has a thick consistency add cashews,
raisins, sliced coconut and cardamom powder. Cook the halwa for another 2 minutes. You can add dry fruit of your choice such
as almonds, walnuts, melon seeds, etc Our halwa is ready to be served. Serve it in a bowl. Garnish the halwa with ghee. It adds taste. Garnish the halwa with cashews. Millet halwa is now ready. This halwa is very tasty. This quantity is sufficient for 4-5 members of the family. Millet halwa tastes delicious when served hot. You can store it in the refrigerator and enjoy it for up to 3 days.
