How To Stop Yo-Yo Dieting And Lose Weight For Good


Well hello folks it’s Mike here I just
want to welcome you back to Keto Style and today I got a question for you have
you ever thought about how to stop yo-yo dieting and lose weight for good you
ever thought about that can you imagine yourself losing weight without exercise
well in this video I’ll tell you how to stop yo-yo dieting if you’re serious and
want to lose weight for good then watch this video all the way to the end and
I’ll show you how to stop dieting and lose weight just as I did you know yo-yo
dieting can get discouraging and it has been for me over the years because I’ve
been on just about every kind of diet you can imagine I remember one time
doing the baking diet and we’re basically it’s all you eat is baking and
I eat a ton of bacon I love making bacon is good bacon makes everything better
but you know you can lose weight on bacon and matter of fact I ate a lot of
bacon on the diet I’m on now I don’t really call it a diet it’s really a life
change but anyway you may have heard of the bacon diet you may have been on the
bacon diet at one time or another another diet that I had tried years ago
was called a grapefruit diet and you know it’s great for weight loss you know
for about 12 days or so you’re only restricted you know you’re actually
restricted to about a thousand calories a day so you know you’re gonna lose
weight on the grapefruit diet doing that for sure but it’s not sustainable it’s
not something that you can continue to do day in and day out and another
similar one that I’ve done before is it’s called the lemon detox diet and
some people call it a colon cleanse or whatever and you you mix lemon juice and
in crushed red pepper and different things together and and you do that and
it cleanse your body out and so you know it’s really a colon cleanse is what that
is and that’s not really all that healthy you know you may feel better for
a little while because you’ve released some of the toxins and different things
but other than that it’s not a long-term sustainable time lifestyle for you
calorie restrictions you know there’s a calorie restriction
and I doubt – also and basically what that is is you’re reducing calories
below what your daily normal intake shouldn’t be you know average daily
requirement is about 2,000 calories I mean that’s hard to do in and of itself
but a calorie restriction diet restricts you even below that and so in a sense
that’s a form of fasting which fasting is good and fasting can certainly help
you lose weight and even today intermittent fasting is something you
hear a lot about in the news and people do it I actually do intermittent fasting
what intermittent fasting is is restriction restricting the amount of
food that you eat in a certain time period
you only eat during a certain time period like what I do basically is a
16-8 I fasted for 16 hours which you know may
seem in and of itself crazy sound crazy to you but really we fast for eight
hours if you’re sleeping you’re not eating
so you’re fasting for eight hours and if you can extend that a little further our
here our there you know and get up to the point where you’re around sixteen
hours you’re going to lose weight it’s going to help you lose weight and then I
basically eat within that eight hour period all that I’m going to eat for
that day and then I’m done so you certainly can lose weight that way on a
calorie restriction diet if you do it that way now years ago I’ve even tried
what was called a cabbage soup I love cabbage you know and cabbage is good I
hate cabbage matter of fact I had cabbage soup yesterday I just love it
it’s really good I loved fried cabbage but cabbage soup
you know a cabbage soup diet is a short-term weight loss diet also because
all you’re gonna do is basically a lots of cabbage and so it can’t be
sustainable it’s not something that you’re gonna want to do long-term you
just can’t do it I mean you can’t just keep eating cabbage day in day out at
least I can so cabbage soup diet is not for me then we got other diets like the
Paleo Paleo is basically well I’m going to talk a minute about
paleo Atkins and keto because these three are primarily the same thing in a
sense of just different variations paleo is actually like going back to the old
hunter-gatherer type mentality when we didn’t have technology like we do and
basically you had to hunt for everything that you ate and you had to gather
everything whether it would be you know fruits or nuts or vegetables or whatever
but the hunter would gather I would kill and it’s you know lean meat different
kinds of meat whether it’s venison or whatever you know or small game and fish
and so paleo is really a good diet it’s it’s something that you can do and it’s
sustainable you have to be creative with it as well and in Atkins you know dr.
Atkins got a lot of bad rap over the years years ago but he had he was he was
on track I mean he the Atkins diet the only difference that I see in the Atkins
diet and the Paleo diet is you know it you you eat lean me do you eat fruits
and vegetables and everything’s like that nuts but gradually over time on the
Atkins night what you do is increase your carb count so we know carbs turns
to sugar and so you know for me that’s just not the way I want to go I want to
reduce that sugar because sugar causes inflammation and we know that sugar feed
or cancer feeds on sugar so I don’t want any I don’t have anything to do with
that so I want to try to stay on a low carb high fat diet and the lifestyle
that I’ve chose have chosen it is a keto of a ketogenic diet plan and I really
don’t like to call it a diet plan because it’s a lifestyle change it’s a
way of eating and it basically you reduce all your flowers and processed
foods bleached flowers and things like that bad process seed oils and different
things like get rid of high fructose corn syrup and all that so you’re
getting rid of sugar and what it basically does being low carb is what it
does it causes you go into what’s called ketosis and
ptosis basically helps your body to burn fat when you eat carbs your carbs turns
to sugar and then and your so your body is either gonna eat sugar for energy or
it’s gonna eat fat and so you when you reduce your sugar intake it forces your
body to eat the fat on your body to lose weight and so another thing that I had
to that like I said a few minutes ago is the keto diet I actually had the
intermittent fasting with that and there’s times that I do what’s called
home at om ad which stands for one mil a day there’s times that I will restrict
my fasting down to 23 hours and only eat one in one hour period at the 23:1
intermittent fasting and some people do that with great success and I have to
and so today the reason why I’m making this video is because you know there’s
many of us been on a yo-yo dieting we want to stop yo-yo dieting I want you to
know that there is something that you can do that’s sustainable and you can
continue on this it’s exciting you can get creative with it you can learn to
eat different things and it’s good food it’s not it’s not bad food you know so
today I just want to let you know that I’ve lost over 40 pounds on this and I
continue to do so I eat till I’m full and I don’t I’m not hungry I’m not
calorie restricting I eat what I want to eat until I’m full and I’m done till the
