HEALTHY GROCERIES ON A BUDGET walmart haul

hey everyone and welcome back to my
channel today we are doing a healthy grocery haul on a budget if you saw my
last video I talked all about healthy grocery tips on a budget so definitely
make sure you watch that video to get all the tips about how to save money
when you grocery shop so today I am doing a grocery haul from Walmart now I
was pleasantly surprised this is not at all sponsored but I discovered that
Walmart has a lot of great organic things and a lot of great prices so I
want to show you guys that you can you know eat really affordably on a budget
eat healthy and yeah we’re gonna dig into my groceries from Walmart alright
so first off is some almond milk I go through this a lot and I use this and
recipes and smoothies and everything like that and it was a dollar cheaper at
Walmart than my normal grocery store so I was pretty pleased about that next up
I got some organic free-range brown eggs now I was very surprised to find that
Walmart has free-range eggs that are organic I honestly never would have
thought that they did so I picked some of these up now what really surprised me
were the prices on produce now before you yell at me about the plastic I had
these delivered because there isn’t the Walmart near me so I have to get it
delivered so the produce prices really stunned me 4-game xf2 so first I have
this organic butternut squash this was two dollars cheaper than at my normal
grocery store so very excited about that and I plan on making squash fries with
this if you saw my delicata squash fries that I was making pretty much all of
October I’m obsessed with squash fries but I haven’t done it yet with butternut
so we’re gonna do it with better or not I got a single banana this I didn’t get
organic because it has a casing on it and one of my tips is usually if it has
a shell it doesn’t need to be organic because you end up peeling that off so I
like to cut this into quarters and then save it for like porridge or smoothies
next up I have some arugula and I was really surprised at the price of this
this was two dollars and fifty cents cheaper than mine
grocery store so pretty pumped I like arugula like on just on top of like a
stir-fry at the end I’ll throw a handful of greens just to really help get those
greens in I like mixing it with spinach and a salad on top of pizza so I was
really pleasantly surprised I also got some organic strawberries strawberries
are definitely part of the Dirty Dozen and something that you want to buy
organic and they were only 497 at Walmart versus my regular grocery store
they’re like $6.99 $7.99 at this time of year so since they were three dollars
less I was like yes definitely sign me up I got a bag full of lemons I think
buying in bulk honestly helps to save money when buying
things like lemons lemons and potatoes really keep well for a longer period of
time you don’t have to worry as much about it like you would spin it like
spinach goes by quickly but like lemons and potatoes definitely don’t I also got
some bok choy I have been obsessed with bok choy it’s like my new favorite leafy
green I like it with a bit of garlic and ginger and coconut aminos so really like
changing up your greens you can like still eat healthy and get affordable
stuff on a budget because bok choy it was like two dollars and fifty cents
versus like kale was $4.99 so you can definitely still eat really
good leafy greens for you I’m just choosing more affordable options then I
got some organic whole cremini mushrooms mushrooms have this wonderful meaty
flavor to them and they’re really delicious and they’ve got so many great
things in them for you specifically like antioxidants polysaccharides but also
something called beta glucans which not only help to support your gut but help
to support your immune system as well I got an avocado again avocado is not
usually something that I’ll buy organic because it has a show so that’s a great
way to save money I got a package of organic ginger this was super affordable
this was $2.00 and something is less than three dollars and you can make your
own ginger shots with just like a little knob and then you blend that up with
water run it through a cheesecloth and you have your own ginger shot so this
will probably make a lot of shots I would say one two three four five six
maybe twelve shots of ginger and this was like 250 versus a shot of like a
ginger shot at my local juice bar is two dollars just for one
so really goodbye plus it tastes good and like stir fries and like with the
bok choy that I said and then I got some mint I love adding fresh mint to salads
but also to tea I love making a fresh mint tea that’s really good for
digestion and it’s really affordable it’s like less than two dollars and you
can make this great fresh tea that’s gonna be good for your digestion and
your gut and help with bloating and everything like that after meals so i
really suggest using herbs as a way to elevate your meals and they’re usually
affordable they’re like less than two dollars and you can like even pick a
different one every week so that’s my little budget grocery haul I hope you
