Healthy Eating with My Family

I’m so glad you could bring mama to see
us, Alma. Wow, this looks like a healthy and delicious
meal. I’m hungry! I brought some of my homemade tortillas, made with whole wheat
flour. My favorite! Mine too. I’ve been trying to be more aware of
serving sizes, but it’s not always easy. Wait, son,
have one and pass the plate around. He can have as many as he wants, he’s a growing
boy. Yeah, mom, I’m a growing boy. Uh-oh. I can’t wait to see how Laura is gonna
handle this one. Oh mom, thank you for bringing your delicious tortillas, we
love them, but I’m trying to teach the children about portion control. A few tortillas
will do him some good. We just had a checkup and the doctor
said he’s perfect. He is perfect, I just want him to grow up healthy and strong.
Oh boy, are you gonna get it. With all due respect, mom, I need your help. I want them
to develop good eating habits. I just know how much Tony loves my
homemade tortillas. I don’t want to hurt your feelings, mom. So many children are
struggling with their weight now, I just want our kids to be healthy. Of course,
that is so important. Tell me, what can we do? We can start by
learning what the recommended serving sizes are. Yes, did you know that a 6-inch
tortilla is one serving? May I have two servings of tortillas, please? You’re so
smart!
