Healthy Eating Tips [music] Variety really is the spice of life. You want
to have variety in your diet. There really is not so many limitations on what you can
eat; anything in moderation is ok. The more vegetables you have, fruits and vegetables,
the better off, the healthier you are going to be. You want to have three meals a day, regular
meals at regular times. Now if you if like to snack, typically you’re not going to eat
as much of a meal as a person who doesn’t snack. It’s up to the person what they like
to do. We always tell people if you are hunger you need to eat something but make it a wise
choice, not something that’s full of fat and calories. A piece of fruit has no saturated
fat, typically, so you’re ok with that. It would be a better choice than a candy bar,
but snacking is ok as long as you do it mindfully. One of the things we encourage everyone to
do is to keep a food journal. If you write down what you eat everyday then you’ll kind
of be amazed at the foods that you lack. Like diary, you’re not getting enough calcium or
that you didn’t eat any vegetables that day. So sometimes it’s really simple things that
they’re not hard to do, but the food journal really makes you aware of what you’ve left
out. [music]
