Hey guys, I’m here to talk about game changers the Game-changing documentary that’s been brought out by I believe James Cameron Arnold Schwarzenegger Jackie Chan, huge names massive money how this gets so much money is not clear to me But there isn’t good documentaries that are well funded out there From the paleo world from the kedo world from the intermittent fasting world But we do get lots of vegan documentaries that are filled with propaganda and I’m not saying vegan is bad But some of the connections that they’re making here are quite ridiculous and the fact that they’re damming kedo Damning carnivore and some of these other things don’t make sense to me and the data doesn’t stack up So I want to walk you through that. So 0.1 right out of the gate gladiators our plant-based because of strontium levels in the bones This This was like the precedent setter in the documentary gladiators you are supposed to be uber meals I guess is the is the argument that they’re Strong virile males the muscle and you know killers and not all that’s even true about gladiators There’s a lot of misunderstandings about Roman gladiators But talking about they were plant-based because they found strontium in their bones That is like such a weak start to the movie and it really sets the tone for the level of data in the movie In that they found a group of bones from one location that were supposedly Roman gladiators that supposedly have enough strontium to supposedly indicate that they supposedly ate a lot of plants is ridiculous Do you think that these men that would kill each other in the ring that? Never ate meat. I mean a lot of this has to do with these people were slaves and impoverished and meat went to the To the people that had more money and wouldn’t be in the ring these were slaves and criminal and Desperate people that have been probably impoverished for years. So yes, they were getting probably Scraps, but this is a crazy crazy discussion to start out the movie so next up you have the cherry picking data and again more n of one more isolated incidents of athletes that Here’s an important piece of data that most of these athletes were Not plant-based all along but they gained their high level of athleticism through Doing things like keto carnivore Mediterranean, you know mixed plant and meat based diets that were probably very clean But then they became vegan after they were already elite athletes. And so this documentary cherry-picks data And cherry-picks athletes and says see this athletes vegan, but I could do this so easily so easily with keto with you know people like LeBron James whose keto people like Zac bitter who’s keto and has broken all kinds of records on the ultramarathon I mean think about this. So yeah, I can take people that are carnivore I can people take people in lots of scenarios that are elite athletes. It doesn’t prove anything It just proves they have great genetics great willpower And they’re willing to not eat garbage and you can have a garbage diet whether you’re vegan carnivore Aikido paleo anything you can eat garbage and This documentary often compares people that were eating garbage the standard American diet the Western diet that’s filled with McDonald’s and Then comparing that to a clean intelligent well-structured vegan diet, of course But if I was to put that well structured vegan diet Next to a well structured carnivore diet or a well structured Paleo diet or a well structured keto diet or well structured Mediterranean diet What would we see? And of course, they’re not going to talk about that. They’re going to just cherry-pick To prove their point and fund this movie and change minds, but it’s irresponsible Science and it makes me very angry Alright now this one hits my heart as a formulator. This one is completely ridiculous as well and basically every point I’m going to make shows a ridiculous this movie is is That plant proteins contain all the amino acids. You need one and two Plant proteins have all the protein that you require and this is completely false Plant proteins are incomplete proteins Animal proteins are complete now as a formulator. I can add the amino acids that are missing either by putting two complementary proteins together Or by adding single amino acids to make it a complete profile But this is me manipulating those and this is different than just talking about a whole food plant-based diet I will tell you that they’re much lower much lower in BCAAs and The key amino acid leucine that triggers muscle protein synthesis All the rest of the other amino acids for the most part are basically substrate for muscle and other body processes but the most important one that drives muscle growth that dries muscle repair is leucine and The animal proteins are without a doubt higher in leucine What’s the highest? whey protein What’s the most popular and bodybuilding for good reason whey protein where does whey protein come? from cows and there’s a reason for that because you have this milk that drives growth of that species like for a cow for example with a calf or With humans the same there’s different ratios of the fast protein. Whey and the slow protein casein but miraculously they drive growth recovery repair and Plant proteins do not keep up. You have to have there’s a study that shows with Waterway Versus soy or wheat that you have to have twice as much Soy or wheat protein to get the same as you’re getting out of way these aren’t the same gram for gram and the data that they’re Misconstruing misunderstanding or manipulating intentionally quite frankly is irresponsible Hey guys, one more thing on rice vs. Way. They do cover this in the documentary and rice protein They say is just as good at gaining muscle as whey protein according to this one study a study that my friends Conducted and I know the actual design of that study is that they had to use Dramatically more rice protein over the whey protein they had to equate leucine so that once you have a Equal levels of leucine then Yes, you can get equal results But that takes dramatically more rice protein and they’re leaving data like that out and this is extremely frustrating and it’s very irresponsible and Clearly they have a purpose a manipulative purpose with this documentary Next fun fact in the documentary, dr Vogel works with three Miami Dolphin players and Brings up the old fear of fat again and we all know that data from an selkies from the 60s That was very manipulated at a population level was incredibly erroneous and since then has been greatly disproven and basically every medical association except for the American Heart Association has Completely given up on this fad as bad for you Horrible theory that no data is showing so the American Medical Association named American nutrition and dietetics group Basically everyone out there is now Proponents of fat and you’re seeing not only the ketogenic diet but the Mediterranean diet the South Beach diet the Atkins diet all these diets that are higher in fat are showing better heart health and This documentary is promoting that fear again, and it’s not you are what you eat I think that’s what so many people associate fat with that. You eat fat you become fat This is silly you burn what you eat your body becomes efficient at the fuel that you’re taking in So if you’re taking in a lot of fat you’re burning lots of fat if you’re taking in a lot of carbs You become an efficient sugar burner you take in a lot of protein you oxidize protein. Well, it’s very simple This is what the body does Efficiently, so if you want to be an efficient fat burner, you have to eat more fat and most plant-based diets Unless you’re working very hard to add in oils and avocados and nuts and seeds You’re typically not getting enough fat in so fat is heart healthy And we see people that eat these diets these carnivore diets These keto diets these high-fat diets, Mediterranean have dramatically better heart health It’s that simple So they claim that antioxidants are higher in plants. This is right. But again, they’re leaving out information This is highly manipulative and think about it are the carnivore animals out there getting sick are all these Leopards and cheetahs and lions just falling over because they’re not getting enough antioxidants Do you know why plants are higher in antioxidants? Because they need to protect themselves from damage from the Sun from the elements and that when you eat a high Carbohydrate diet a high plant-based diet you need more antioxidants because you’re producing more are OS more oxygen species so that you can run this fuel through the oxygen through the Krebs cycle and This is that simple It’s so simple. So when you’re eating a carnivore diet when you’re eating a meat based diet You don’t need the antioxidants now What’s the most ideal thing to have both to have the meat based diet and to have the antioxidants? But antioxidants don’t solve everything There’s very little data that shows that having tons of antioxidants is going to be anti aging and health promoting What it shows is that it’s needed for Oxidation to counter that and so when you have a lot less oxidation, you don’t need the antioxidants Sorry last thing they don’t mention that the keto diet is incredible for performance And you see that people on the keto diet are breaking all kinds of records like my friend Zac bitter. They’re not mentioning that that you don’t need to have that there’s 2,000 calories stored on you in carbohydrate right you have even a lean athlete has about 50,000 calories stored on them in fat which fuel would you rather be more efficient at tapping into And that’s why you’re seeing these guys these long-distance guys It cracked me up that there’s a guy in there that broke a record doing the Adirondack trail when he could do much better, Aikido Absolutely better as a Kido athlete and this has been shown time and time again, especially with these long-distance athletics and so You have better cognitive performance on Kido as your brain responds positively to BHB You have lower appetite you have lean body mass sparing anti catabolic effects that you hold on to more muscle on keto And they don’t talk about any of this stuff all these benefits that these guys are getting like LeBron James comes back more lean More jacked more ripped like for his basketball season when he does the keto diet There’s no surprise to me and LeBron James is the best player in the NBA now. I’m not picking out n of one stuff But that’s what they keep doing. And it’s really frustrating and it’s not real data and I can do that all day as well I can find carnivore diets Keto diet athletes all over the place that are super successful So this is frustrating and I’m just done with this documentary that has very little science and lots of manipulative information Alright, so this is my review for game changers Hopefully it was helpful again is another crazy one like what the hell that has very little scientific information and is completely Frustrating for someone like me to watch this. It was like an hour and a half of just punching myself in the head It was extremely frustrating Yes, there’s some incredible athletes in there there’s no doubt they were doing amazing things, but proof and scientific data was extremely lacking and it definitely felt like there was a manipulative purpose here that Just shouldn’t happen and hopefully I can undo some of that and show this to some friends that seem Confused and hopefully it helps them and if you need more help just reach out to me directly Thanks guys
