Hope you all are doing good This is our “Silicon Oasis”,Dubai where we live in Today I’m here with a salad recipe I’ve been getting requests for soups and salad recipes I’ve already posted 2-3 recipes of soups Don’t forget to check them out We can make salads in many ways So I thought to make a simple salad with the ingredients which are always available in our home I’ll do more recipes in future So let’s see how to make “naadan carrot salad” Let’s begin the process now Here I’ve taken 2 long carrots First of all remove the skin and wash it properly and then grate it So let’s remove the skin Its not required to show you this part You can remove the skin easily using a peeler Or you can use a knife to remove the skin I always use the peeler to remove the skin So let me remove the skin of the 2 carrots Try to buy tender carrots always Tender carrots tastes more sweet I always used to remove the thick portion on the top of the carrot Because sometimes it may tastes bitter So I used to remove those portions specially while making salads Let me wash these carrots properly I always use the small holes to grate carrots for salad So let’s grate the 2 carrots now Some people loves to chop the carrots but for this particular salad,I used to grate it always So the 2 carrots have been grated now Its a grater attached with the box So its easy to handle also Transfer them into a bowl You can serve this to only one person You can take 1/2 of an onion or 1/4 portion of one onion as you like Here I have taken 1/2 of 1 medium onion Chop them very finely Add them into the grated carrot Chopping 1 green chilli Adjust the number of green chillies according to the spice level This is not so spicy an I’m chopping them into small pieces You can ignore this if you want to serve this to kids But it gives a special taste to our salad This is my “elemma’s” recipe I don’t like to eat raw carrots but if it is made like this,I love to eat When I feel hungry,I make this salad and have it Its very easy to make and good for our health also Now mix them all well Add a pinch of salt.Please be careful while adding salt We cannot have the salad if the level of salt is high Mix it again properly Add lemon juice of 1/4th portion of a lemon After that check the taste and you can add extra lemon juice only if it is required The sour taste also be maintained So I’ve added almost 1 tsp of lemon juice into it Mix well So the salad is ready here.Its very easy to make Carrot is always available in our home No need to go out in hurry and buy it Some people used to add grated cabbage along with it But I love to eat carrot alone If you want you can add grated cabbage also It tastes something different from this This is the basic salad which which I love to start my salad recipes I’ll definitely post more salad recipes in future PCOD patients should include this kind of salads,more fruits and vegetables in your diet And drink more and more water And try to reduce the amount of meat you eat And include more vegetables and fruits in your diet You may have the doubt that,can we store this salad in the fridge Its always better to make it just before serving time If you keep it for longer period it may lose its health benefits So try to have it as soon as you make it Will come again with more soup and salad recipes in future Let me check the taste now Some used to add coriander leaves into it.But I don’t like it If you want you can add them also You can add roasted peanuts with it Make choices with your preferences Even you can add cashew nuts or almonds to have a crunchy effect But this is enough This is perfect for me It can be taken as a main course also because it fills our tummy well If you are serving it with rice,you can serve upto 3 persons with this quantity Or you can take it alone as a main course (1 person) Please do try this recipe and send your feedback See you all with a new recipe.Till then thank you so much…
