அவகோடா சட்னி | Avocado / Butter fruit chutney in Tamil


Hello Friends, today I am going to prepare a variety dish called Avocado chutney There is a doubt always whether it is a vegetable or a fruit. It belongs to fruit. Avocado looks like this It is now available in India in all supermarkets It should be ripened as shown,do not use when it is bright green in colour. I have shown in my other video as how to cut and use Avocado, watch my other video. It is good for hypertension,diabetic,heart and reduces the risk of cancer It also contains potassium,magnesium,folic acid and other vital nutrients. If consumed one a day is very beneficial to health. The ingredients needed are One diced onion, 3 diced tomatoes, 5 slit green chillies, 1/2 tsp ginger paste and 5 diced garlic Coriander leaves one cup Take 3 Avocado’s with 3 tsp of lemon juice mixed with it, as it will oxsidize overtime 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 2 tsp urad dal and 3 dry red chilly In a pan heat one tablespoon of oil Add mustard seeds Add cumin and urad dal Add dry red chilly Add garlic,onion Stir 2 mins After 2 mins add ginger paste and green chilly Stir another 2 mins Add tomatoes Add 1/4 th tsp of salt to it cook covered for 4 mins in low heat It has been cooked to soft and now add the coriander leaves Mix well for 2 mins Switch off heat and add 1/2 tsp salt Mix well and let it cool. After it cools grind it in a blender. If using for rice grind it to a coarse paste or to a fine paste as a chutney or a dip Lastly add avocado’s to the paste and blend for a minute Do not add water for grinding I have grinded the onion,tomato mixture to a coarse consistancy as shown At this stage add avocado and blend for a minute This is the coarse consistancy paste i have made as seen If needed add water to it and make little diluted A healthy Avocado chutney is ready Tasty Avocado chutney or dip is ready to serve My tip of the day is Many of them may have known, but it may be useful for Bachelors and newbies In colder countries, it is difficult to ferment idli/dosa batter or to make yoghurt. In the oven, which comes with the stove/hob ,switch on the oven light and place the batter or milk for yoghurt and close and keep for 6-8 hrs Try today’s tip and also the Avocado chutney You may make to a fine paste and use it as a spread for sandwiches for kids.
