Welcome to health care at home In the previous episode we were talking about What to eat during Ramzan Your first meal shouldn’t be that much heavy which stops you to not to eat anything for another 14 hours If you’ll eat the most heaviest meal and then sleep This way throughout the day your digestive system is working Then throughout the day you’ll feel low in energy Remember to digest the most heaviest meal you require water also Then automatically you’ll be thirsty So you should replace the heaviest meal with Cucumber, Carrot, Beetroot & Cabbage These all are complex carbohydrate, they will give you stomach full feeling but are low in calorie This way your stomach will be absolutely clear without any acidity and gastric problem Throughout the day you’ll feel energetic Its very important to chew your food properly during Ramadan Because your mind takes 20 mins to understand that what is happening in the stomach How to generate those 20 mins, when you eat food then your saliva get mixed in our food There is an enzyme in out saliva called ptyalin, this initiates the process of digestion from your mouth only When you chew your food more then you get more ptyalin and you get more saliva In result your digestion becomes very easy Make sure that your morning meal which is your last meal I’ve seen many people that they eat lot of food Don’t do that because when you eat a lot then your acid release more acid Then continuous digestion process will create acidity, gastric Throughout the day your energy level will be low Because your total energy is towards digestion So you should eat high fiber food which gives you the feeling of fuller stomach for long Eat Cucumber, as its very low in calorie and contains 20 calories only in 100 gm of it But it is rich in fiber which fills your stomach Eat watermelon as it is full of water, throughout the day your body will hydrate and you won’t feel thirsty Eat carrot as it is rich in fiber and easy to digest Now let’s talk about non-veg then you shouldn’t eat non-veg Let me tell you that whatever you eat if it takes more time to get cooked then it will take more time to digest If we eat raw fruits, they will get digest very easily Even salad will digested very easily because we haven’t cooked them If we talk about Chapati then it takes bit more time to get cooked Similarly it will take bit more time to get digest but if you eat non-veg it takes more time to get cooked then it will take more time to digest Non-veg food takes 12-14 hours to get digest So when you are fasting for 12-14 hours then you have to give rest to your digestive system If you eat heavy meal then your digestive system will work Till 12-14 hours your digestive system was working Moment when your digestive system is done then back again its your time to complete your fast In result your digestive system didn’t get rest at all So this way we didn’t any benefit of fasting So eat non-veg in lesser quantity or eat salad first and then eat non-veg Or any other heavy meal but make sure that you eat salad first Before eating any heavy meal you must eat salad first and then eat your heavy meal Automatically the quantity of your heaviest meal will be low Once again wishing you a Ramzan to all of you if you’ll follow this routine then definitely after completion of fasting your skin will glow You’ll loose weight and you’ll feel very healthy too We wish that you stay healthy, busy, carefree and be with us.
